How to apply for the PALM Scheme

If you’re from the Pacific Islands or Timor-Leste and interested in working in Australia, the PALM Scheme could be your pathway to a brighter future. The first step is to reach out to the Labour Sending Unit (LSU) in your country. The LSU plays a vital role in selecting candidates and connecting them with Australian employers who are looking for skilled workers in sectors like agriculture, horticulture and more.
Once you’ve made contact with the LSU, they’ll guide you through the application process and help match you with available positions that suit your skills. It’s important to remember that you’ll need a valid passport and meet the health and character requirements is essential to being considered.
What happens next?

If you’re selected for a job in Australia under the PALM Scheme, congratulations!
Your employer (for example, Tribe) will organise and pay for your travel to Australia. This includes your flight and some other important costs to help you get here.
Once you start working, you’ll gradually repay these costs through small deductions from your wages. This makes it easier for you to move to a new country without needing a lot of money upfront.

Our recruitment specialists fill critical roles across Australia’s hospitality sector, ensuring businesses have the workforce they need to keep operations running smoothly.
These roles include:

-
Food and beverage attendants – Serve meals and drinks with a smile and help create a great guest experience.
-
Waitstaff – Take orders, deliver meals and keep customers happy from start to finish
-
Kitchen hands – support the kitchen team with prep, cleaning, and keeping things running smoothly.
-
Cooks – Cook delicious meals and help keep the kitchen safe and organised.
